Danco has come out with a series of machined Aluminum Pliers that come in a variety of anodized colors for $39.99.  These pliers have replaceable braid cutting cutters and come with a sheath and lanyard. They currently come in 4 colors matte blk, red, blue, and silver. They are spring loaded for ease of use and they also have replaceable jaws in the event they get worn down over time. We’ve sold dozens of these pliers and haven’t had one pair come back with any issues. For anyone who has considered a high end pair of pliers but resisted because of the $100 price tag these might be just what your looking for.

Thanks for everyone’s support in helping us put on a bigger and better tourn. than last year. We already have some new ideas in the works for next year, who knows we might even be able to give away a boat next year!!

The cool thing about these multi strand micro braids is that they use more fibers that are much thinner than the traditional 4 strand braids to make the lines smoother and more abrasion resistant while maintaining the same ultra thin diameter.  You’ll notice that there’s no longer that sound that traditional braid makes while reeling it in and the smoother finish created from the increased number of fibers allows for an increase in distance of @ 20%.  The product retails for around $20.00 for 150 yds so it’s only a few dollars more than the standard braids out there.

Just something new to think about when considering putting new braid on your reels.

Here we are again with the tourn. set for Sat March 31st. This year looks to be even bigger and better than last years amazing event.  All the info. will be coming out in the next week or so but, so far we have the locations for the captain’s meeting and the event and awards ceremony will once again be at Harris Field Pavilion in Homestead.

We’re adding another division to the tourn. Female Grand Champion. So this year we’ll have original artwork as awards by Jorge Martinez for largest Trout, Largest Redfish, Largest Snook, two awards for Team Grand Champion, Top Male Angler, and Top Female Angler.

We’re also adding more activities for the kids so the families will have even more stuff to do during the day while waiting for the anglers to return for the BBQ, awards ceremony and raffle.
